Tushita Foundation’s aim is to improve the living conditions of the less fortunate in India. We, at kamalan are very fond of the foundation’s work and actively contribute in its efforts to impart education to underprivileged children. The foundation is primarily sustained by Tushita Travels, kamalan’s parent company, and it welcomes donation from like-minded individuals and organizations who support our projects.
Tushita Foundation was created with the intention to contribute our knowledge, time and resources to improve the widening gap between the haves and have-nots in Indian society. Tushita Foundation works out of a village community house in Amber (near Jaipur), that helps us to interact with the community and improve their living conditions. Amber village is located near Jaipur city in the state of Rajasthan, and is famous among foreign and domestic travellers for its impressive forts, lakes and local cuisine.
Tushita Foundation believes that with proper education, everyone would have a fair chance at succeeding in a developing country like India. We aim to foster self-respect and confidence in the context of universal human values, irrespective of caste or creed. Because there cannot be harmonious growth if too many people are left behind, in a small, connected world, we hope to make a difference.

The Tushita Foundation
Tushita Foundation is currently engaged with the people of Amber village to assist them in their children’s education. We provide free-of-cost after-school tutoring in subjects like Geography, English, Theatre, Literature, History and Sports among others. We also provide books and uniforms to the children enrolled at the foundation, free of cost.
Tushita Foundation regularly invites students and volunteers from top global universities, to assist and teach English at the foundation, and organize co-curricular activities like dancing, drawing, gardening, singing and other creative endeavours aimed at empowering the children.
Volunteers are offered free housing in Jaipur city, private transportation to and from the village of Amber and home cooked meals. The volunteers have to bear the cost of Indian Visa and pay for their travel expenses to India.
It is worth mentioning that being from a travel and cultural background, we love to take the children on memorable excursions. The pupils of the Tushita Foundation have already visited the City Palace and the Observatory in Jaipur, the Amber Fort on elephant back, the Taj Mahal and the painted havelis in Shekhawati. They have even been invited by the House of Samode to visit their Palace and have had a fine dining experience in their splendid gardens.
