At the tail end of the monsoon, a cool blue tint envelopes the landscape of the Indian Peninsula, lush green foliage shiver in the cold winds, the golden rays of the morning sun gently shine against the warm red-brick buildings and the streets and the countryside flanked by the Western Ghats and surrounded by seas, come alive in a colourful harmony.
