Andrea Gentl and Martin Hyers are a New York based photography team. Having met while studying photography at the Parsons School of Design, they have been working together commercially for over twenty years, photographing still life, food, beauty, fashion, and travel for a wide range of editorial and advertising clients.

What is the colour of India for you?
For me the colour of India is a deep rose to a fluorescent pink. Pink turbans in the desert and dusty roses in Pushkar.

Jasmine and Sandalwood

Sweet smooth chai from a street cart steaming with cardamom and ginger and a little black pepper.

The call to prayer in the dark pre-dawn.

The touch of India for me is a cool flower garland still heavy and moist from the market.
