SwaSwara

GOKARNA, KARNATAKA

Waves wash down the parched shores of the beach as the sands glisten under the warm sun, the ocean brings a sense of calm to anything that resides near it. And amidst these serene shores lies SwaSwara - built as a celebration of the sea and everything that comes with it. Set in acres of coconut groves and paddy fields on Om beach, there is little, apart from the rhythm of the rolling waves and the meditative hum of birdsong, to disturb your inner explorations. Crafted in colours of the Earth, and in harmony with the land that nurtures her, SwaSwara is designed for holistic and transformational experiences, a space where the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda and yoga embrace you to rejuvenate body and spirit. Taking its name from the local word for ‘inner voice’, this beach haven is a place to find yourself.

EXPERIENCES

Nature Trail

SwaSwara is host to a range of migratory birds and animals. Between a protected patch of forest and rainwater lakes, the forested cover has occasional visits from some endangered species as well. Experience the sounds and colours of nature through a guided walk amidst the green.

Healing Through Creative Expression

Art is also a path to healing and self discovery. It has the ability to take you on a journey where you lose yourself in an act of healing. The Art Studio at SwaSwara allows you to experiment with a wide range of creative activities that include tribal Warli painting, water colours on handmade paper, origami and clay work on a traditional potter’s wheel. The in-house artist will take you through the different mediums to express yourself while letting your individuality come through on canvas.

Food for the Soul

For healthy living a balanced diet is imperative and SwaSwara understands this. Its holistic understanding of health ensures that its guests choose what they eat by picking their ingredients and interacting with the chefs. The cuisine is mainly South Indian and provides healthy alternatives to the usual way in which it is prepared.
