Joe Pickard

By day, London-based Joe Pickard is Books Editor at Monocle magazine, where he is responsible for heading the in-house books team and editing the Monocle Travel Guide series. By night, he is a keen photographer and avid Instagrammer. Both have taken him to various far-flung destinations around the world but his 2017 collaboration with kamalan was his first taste of India.

  • What is the scent of India for you?

  • What is the taste of India for you?

The sugar coated fennel seeds served after a meal.

  • What is the sound of India for you?

The feel of smooth, sun drenched stone slabs on bare feet.
